All PNW Foundation Scholarships due February 1st.

The Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation's Erling M. Larsen Scholarship ($1000)

This first scholarship was named in 2005 to honor Earling Larsen. He served on our Foundation Board from 1986 until 2003 and included a term as President in 1991/92. His early and generous donation of both land and support provided a large portion of our present asset base.

The Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation's Joe & Marion Epler Scholarship ($1000)

In 2006 the Foundation named our second scholarship after our longest serving Founding Director Joe Epler. Joe served on the board from 1986 to 2003, including two years as president in 1986-88. He served as PNW Kiwanis District Governor in 1959, and was an active Emeritus Board member until death in March 2015.

Founding Director's Award ($1000)

Our third scholarship was named in 2008 to recognize our original nine Founding Directors: Dick Bell, Jack Delf, Joe Epler, Gene Favell, Roy Frank, Otto Lawrence, Marshall McCann, Don Miles, and Bill Watts. These outstanding gentlemen had the vision and determination to establish this Foundation in 1985.

Emeritus Director's Award ($1000)

Our fourth scholarship was named in 2008 to recognize those Director’s whose efforts over time have been above and beyond the call of duty normally asked of our board members. This scholarship honors the contributions of Mel Dennis, Otto Lawrence, and Joe Epler.

The Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation's Sylvester Neal Scholarship ($1000)

Our fifth scholarship was named in 2011 to honor Sylvester Neal. He served as PNW Kiwanis District Governor in 2002-03, as International Trustee from 2004 to 2007. He was elected International Vice President in 2007 and Kiwanis International President in 2010-11.

PNW Kiwanis Foundation Awards ($1000)

These two scholarships are presented each year on behalf of the Foundation.
