An annual gathering of Key Clubbers from across the Pacific Northwest.

District Convention celebrates a successful year of service and prepares Key Clubbers from over 300 clubs with leadership skills and service opportunities. Members attend workshops, receive officer training, and vote on the coming year’s District Executive Board. Throughout the weekend, attendees are encouraged to share their spirit in an environment of service-oriented individuals.

Every year, the District Board selects a new theme for District Convention relating to service. This year the theme is Wild West Service. We hope that you all will embrace Wild West Service in your own unique way. Although we are in the west, a virtual setting isn’t exactly the environment you would think of for Wild West, but we strive to create a fun and inclusive environment for all Key Clubbers.

Convention Overview

Meet and Greet

Play icebreakers, exchange hug me signs, and make new friends as you wait for your club to be registered. The meet and greet is a casual opportunity to meet Key Clubbers from neighbouring clubs, divisions, states, and even countries.

Opening Session

Kick off District Convention with an evening of spirit battles, entertainment, and a talk from the Keynote Speaker. Opening session is an exciting introduction to a weekend of service, friends, and opportunity.

At District Convention, Key Clubbers will elect their new student leaders for the 2020-21 service year. Attendees will be organized by division into caucusing rooms and listen to candidates for District Executive office as they present their goals and ideas.

In each of four sessions, you will choose from a variety of workshops to attend. Presented by student leaders and professionals alike, learn more about Key Club, develop leadership skills, or find out how you can support preferred charities like UNICEF. Whether you’re inspired to participate in on-site service projects or do zumba with friends, there’s a workshop for everyone.

House of Delegates

At House of Delegates, members and officers will vote on proposed amendments to the PNW Key Club bylaws and elect the incoming District Executive Board. Each club attending DCON is required to select two delegates to represent their club prior to the start of Convention. House of Delegates will take place on Saturday afternoon.

Individuals and clubs who have applied for awards will be recognized for their outstanding service, and contest winners will also be announced. Talent show finalists will perform, and the District Project will be concluded with a final fundraising update. Lastly, the current District Board will be retired and a new one will be installed.
