Governor's Project
Mission Statement
The mission of READ to SUCCEED is to, “build our homes, schools, and communities by advocating a lifelong love of reading.”Criteria For Participation
READ to SUCCEED is designed to incorporate a variety of service projects that advocate reading. Clubs should tailor projects to best serve the needs of their community. However, all projects must fulfill the following criteria in order to officially participate in the Governor’s Project and be recognized at District Convention 2009.The club project must:
• Involve at least five (5) Key Club members
• Advocate reading/literacy
• Take at least ten (10) hours of community service time (this time can be spread out over weeks, or all in a row)
• Benefit your school or community
Once You're Finished
Once your club has finished a “READ to SUCCEED” service project, the Pacific Northwest District wants to hear about it! Please submit the online Governor’s Project report at:http://www.pnwkeyclub.org/resources/onlineresources/govproject.php
This report lets district leaders know about the great things your club is doing. It also ensures that your club will be recognized for participation at District Convention 2009.
